CORTIS Misses Best New Artist Win at 2026 MTV VMAs

CORTIS has missed out on the Best New Artist award at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.

The K-POP group was among the nominees for Best New Artist at the ceremony held Sept. 27 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, but the award ultimately went to British singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro.

CORTIS and Spiro were nominated alongside Bella Kay, Magnus Ferrell, Malcolm Todd, Myles Smith and Stella Lefty, making up a seven-artist field for the award.

This year marked CORTIS' first appearance among the MTV VMA nominees. The group received two nominations, including Best New Artist, a main category open to artists across genres.

CORTIS also earned a nomination for Best K-Pop with "REDRED," leaving the group in contention for another award at this year's ceremony.

The 2026 MTV VMAs were held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with rapper Snoop Dogg serving as host.
