Taemin Abruptly Postpones North American Tour Two Weeks Before Kickoff

K-POP group SHINee's Taemin has postponed the North American leg of his world tour less than two weeks before its first show. The decision comes as key touring and production staff await U.S. visas.

Taemin's team announced the postponement on Sept. 29 through his official social media accounts. The North American leg of his 2026-2027 world tour, "LiMiNaL," was scheduled to open in San Jose, California, on Oct. 12 and visit six cities.

"A significant number of key touring and production staff required for the North American shows are still awaiting their visas, with no clear timeline for issuance," the statement said. "Given the continued uncertainty surrounding the participation of essential personnel, we determined that proceeding with the tour as scheduled would carry significant operational and production risks."

The shows will be rescheduled. "The North American leg remains an integral part of the 2026–27 TAEMIN WORLD TOUR <LiMiNaL> and will proceed on rescheduled dates," the statement said. "New dates and venues are currently being arranged and will be announced shortly." Ticket holders can request refunds through their original point of purchase. Each ticketing platform will provide details of its refund process.

Taemin kicked off the "LiMiNaL" world tour with three shows at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from Sept. 18 to 20.
