EVNNE Turns the City Into a 'Sound Laboratory' for "on: our noise"
EVNNE has left the "sound laboratory" and taken its latest experiment into the city. The group released a concept film for sixth mini album on: our noise on October 1, expanding on the "SOUND LABORATORY CLUB" first introduced through its coming-soon teaser.
This time, the members head through streets, alleyways and subway stations in search of sounds from everyday life.
Wearing "SOUND LABORATORY CLUB" name tags, they listen to everything from street noise to passing trains, each finding their own way to capture the "noise" around them.
Eventually, the members reunite on a rooftop at sunset, where the sounds they have collected seemingly come together as they sing, dance and move freely to the music.
The concept film trades the more literal laboratory imagery of the previous teaser for warm sunset tones and a vintage, analog-inspired look.
That shift also gives more context to the objects previously introduced alongside on: our noise. The first teaser featured headphones, cassette players, speakers and waveform graphics alongside the invitation to "JOIN THE SOUND LABORATORY CLUB."
Rather than keeping that experiment inside a fictional lab, the new film positions the city itself as EVNNE’s source material, turning the ordinary sounds surrounding the members into something to collect and eventually make music from.
on: our noise will mark EVNNE's first release in approximately six months following first single "Backtalk" in April.
The group will release the mini album on October 19 before holding EVNNE FAN-CONCERT [ONE TAKE] IN SEOUL at YES24 Live Hall on November 21 and 22.
The fan-concert tour will subsequently continue through Japan, Taipei, North America and Europe.
