EVNNE Builds Out Its 'Sound Laboratory' With "SEARCHING FOR NOISE"
EVNNE's "sound laboratory" is getting more elaborate as "on: our noise" moves closer to release.
The group unveiled its "SEARCHING FOR NOISE" mood cuts and concept photos on October 4 and 5, expanding the field-recording concept introduced through its previous comeback teasers.
The new images bring the equipment behind that experiment into focus, featuring audio mixers, speakers, handmade devices and even a modified bicycle fitted with a megaphone.
Member ID cards labeled "SOUND LABORATORY CLUB FIELD RECORDING DIVISION" appear alongside phrases including "[SOUND EXPERIMENT LAB]" and "Mood Observation File #1," continuing the idea of EVNNE searching for sounds across the city.
That makes the latest photos a visual continuation of the group's recent concept film, which showed the members listening to and collecting everyday noise from streets, alleyways and subway stations before reuniting on a rooftop.
This time, the members appear alongside exposed wires, circuits and antennas, as well as keyboards, amplifiers, cassette radios and other analog audio equipment.
The mechanical elements are contrasted with a more youthful styling direction. EVNNE wears variations on school-uniform-inspired looks built around white shirts and ties, mixed with red hoodies, fingerless gloves and transparent-frame glasses.
Shot across streets, bridges, underground walkways and rooftops, the images use a film-like texture while moving between playful group moments and more cinematic individual portraits.
Together, the rollout has gradually built on: our noise around the process of finding, recording and eventually transforming everyday sound into EVNNE's own music.
Fans will get to hear what that experiment produced one day before the album officially arrives.
EVNNE will hold 'EVNNE PRE-LISTENING PARTY: ALBUM DOCENT TOUR' on October 18, with the members serving as curators and introducing the album's tracks themselves.
The event will feature spaces dedicated to individual tracks, where fans can listen to the music and hear the members discuss the songs ahead of release.
EVNNE will release their sixth mini album "on: our noise on October" 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
The group will then hold 'EVNNE FAN-CONCERT [ONE TAKE] IN SEOUL' at YES24 Live Hall on November 21 and 22 before taking the fan-concert tour to a total of 22 cities worldwide.
