BABYMONSTER Reveals "DESERVE" as Next Single, New Album Planned for 2027

BABYMONSTER is preparing to return with a new digital single, "DESERVE," on October 23, with YG Entertainment executive producer Yang Hyun-suk teasing a different musical direction for the group.

YG Entertainment revealed the single's title through an official poster on October 14, confirming the group's first new release since "SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA" in June.

The announcement was accompanied by a new installment of YG's FROM YG series, in which Yang offered details about the upcoming track.

Although "DESERVE" is described as a slow-tempo song, Yang said it carries more intense energy than any of BABYMONSTER's previous releases. He also highlighted the group's vocal performance, explaining that the track combines delicate delivery with powerful singing to build toward an emotional climax.

The title "DESERVE" introduces the idea of being worthy of something, although the specific meaning behind the song has yet to be revealed.

Its newly released poster features blurred lettering against a distressed paper background, using a black-and-white palette and vintage-inspired design. The imagery offers a contrast to the dreamlike atmosphere of the group's earlier teasers.

Yang also revealed that BABYMONSTER is preparing another album, currently targeted for release in early 2027.

"DESERVE" will arrive approximately four months after the group's June 8 digital single "SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA," continuing a busy release schedule.

The group has already introduced several tracks and music videos this year, including material from its third mini album CHOOM, "SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA," "I LIKE IT" and "MOON."

The upcoming single will also be released during BABYMONSTER's second world tour, 2026–27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR 'CHOOM'.

"DESERVE" is scheduled for release on October 23 at 1 p.m. KST.
