Actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency has announced that the police found insufficient grounds to pursue allegations against him under the Child Welfare Act,warning that it will take legal action against those who continue to spread false information or engage in malicious attacks.

On Oct.14, Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist posted a statement on its official social media accounts. The agency said police reviewed the evidence and circumstances surrounding claims that Kim Soo-hyun dated the late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, along with the Child Welfare Act accusation around those claims. Authorities concluded that the allegations could not be substantiated and closed the case without referral, under a "no charges" ruling.

The agency went further, saying the series of claims made against Kim Soo-hyun had been confirmed to have no factual or objective basis. "This case is no longer at a stage of unverified dispute," the statement said. "It has been proven to be false through the official results of the investigation."

Gold Medalist also pointed to the arrest and indictment of Kim Se-eui, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute. According to the agency, a court issued an arrest warrant for Kim Se-eui on charges including defamation through the dissemination of false information under the Information and Communications Network Act. He has subsequently indicted and placed in custody pending trial. The agency warned that reposting, sharing, or redistributing the related claims would also count as further illegal activity.

The statement stressed that redistributing screenshots, photos, and video clips featured in Garosero Research Institute broadcast could also carry legal consequences. "Posting only the image without adding any separate text, listing a source, or simply reposting someone else's post does not allow you to avoid responsibility," Gold Medalist said.

The agency's legal response is not limited to false information. It also includes insults, malicious attacks, and obstruction of business. "The targets of our legal action include not only the spreading of false information but also insulting expressions, personal attacks, malicious mockery and defamation, and posts that cleverly distort the facts," the agency said. It added that it plans to pursue criminal complaints and civil claims for damages simultaneously.

Gold Medalist is also reviewing potential legal action against those it accuses of interfering with Kim Soo-hyun's work and the company's operations by spreading false information. The agency said its legal team is studying whether such acts could constitute for obstruction of business under criminal law, and assesing the scope of potential civil claims. For cases deemed serious enough to warrant legal action, the agency said it would file criminal complaints without seeking settlement, followed by separate civil lawsuits for business losses based on the trial's outcome.

The agency asked that related posts and comments be taken down, but made clear that deletion does not erase legal responsibility. "Whether a person voluntarily deletes a post may be taken into account later when sentencing and calculating damages," the agency said. "But deletion does not cancel the criminal and civil responsibility for illegal acts that have already been committed."
