BTS Adds Another 100 Million-View MV With 'Hooligan'
BTS has reached another YouTube milestone, with the music video for "Hooligan" surpassing 100 million views.
The video crossed the mark on Oct. 14, becoming the third track from the group's fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG," to reach the milestone, following "SWIM" and "2.0."
Released April 8, the music video features contrasting gray and red sets, dark styling and large-scale choreography involving all seven members alongside backup dancers.
"Hooligan" is an alternative hip-hop track that reflects BTS' journey of carving out its own path. The song combines orchestral strings, metallic sound effects and heavy 808 bass, and serves as the opening number of the group's ongoing "ARIRANG" World Tour.
The track previously debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated April 4 and remained on the chart for four weeks.
Meanwhile, "ARIRANG" continues its run on the Billboard 200, holding at No. 43 on the Oct. 17-dated chart. The album has now spent 29 consecutive weeks on the ranking since debuting at No. 1.
Title track "SWIM" also remains on Billboard's global charts, ranking No. 27 on the Global 200 and No. 8 on Global Excl. U.S.
