BIG Naughty Marries His First Love, Releases New Song for Her Birthday

Korean rapper BIG Naughty has married the woman who inspired some of his best-known love songs, more than a decade after they first met as children.

The 23-year-old artist, whose real name is Seo Dong-hyun, announced his marriage to his longtime girlfriend on Oct. 14 through a group messaging platform for fans. His agency, H1GHR MUSIC, later confirmed that the couple had already registered their marriage.

BIG Naughty's wife is the woman behind his songs "Vancouver" and "Vancouver 2." The rapper previously revealed that he had a crush on her for more than 10 years after meeting her in elementary school. The two eventually reconnected and began dating.

A day after announcing his marriage, BIG Naughty released a new song, "Vancouver 3," on YouTube, along with a video showing moments from their relationship. The footage includes a scene of him proposing inside a car, handing his girlfriend a ring before she embraces him.

The video also features the messages "2011, First met. 2026, Married" and "Happy Birthday My Ju," indicating that the song was released to celebrate his wife's birthday.

In an Instagram post on Oct. 15, BIG Naughty wrote that he first met his wife at age 9 and married her at 24, using Korea's traditional age-counting system. He thanked her, referring to her as Uju, for being a constant source of inspiration, as well as fans who had supported the music inspired by their relationship.

BIG Naughty, who rose to prominence through Mnet's "Show Me the Money 8" in 2019, began his mandatory alternative military service as a public service worker on Sept. 10. He said he would complete his service and return as a more mature artist.
