IVE Wraps Up 'Hero Comics' Teasers Ahead of "Looks Can Kill" Release
IVE has completed the rollout of its Hero Comics concept photos for upcoming mini album "Looks Can Kill," with Gaeul and Liz becoming the final members to reveal their superhero-inspired characters.
Starship Entertainment shared the pair's individual and unit photos on October 14, bringing the series of teasers, which began on October 12, to a close.
Gaeul takes on a mysterious, intellectual superhero persona, combining martial arts-inspired poses with unconventional props. In the photos, she appears to gather energy before performing action poses with a book, while another shot shows her projecting an imaginary blast of power toward an opponent.
Liz introduces a different kind of hero, using a fork as an unexpected weapon in a series of playful action poses.
Her individual photos alternate between exaggerated movements and a more serious expression as she stands in front of a target, combining humor with the dramatic styling of a superhero character.
The two members also appear together in unit photos, striking coordinated poses with determined expressions.
IVE began unveiling the Hero Comics concept on October 12, introducing each member as a distinct character within a fictional superhero academy. The series incorporates individual colors, logos and character traits, presenting the group's six members as heroes with different personalities and abilities.
The concept ties into the message of "Looks Can Kill," which explores the idea that anyone can become the main character and hero of their own life.
Rather than following traditional superhero conventions, the album's visual campaign emphasizes individuality, confidence and humor.
IVE will release the title track "Looks Can Kill" on October 19, one week before the full mini album arrives on October 26.
The song is described as combining heavy bass and electronic sounds, emphasizing the group's confident image and commanding presence.
Following the single's advance release, IVE will begin promotions for the mini album on October 26.
