RIIZE Turns Sleepless Nights Into a Six-Member Drama for 'Insomnia'
RIIZE is preparing a drama-style music video for its upcoming single "Insomnia," with all six members taking on individual characters.
The music video will follow people struggling to fall asleep, with the members portraying different emotions and experiences through acting rather than their usual performance-focused approach.
Ahead of the release, RIIZE will introduce each character through a series of side stories shared on the group's official social media accounts.
The first installment, featuring Sohee, Wonbin and Shotaro, will arrive Oct. 23, followed by stories centered on Sungchan, Anton and Eunseok on Oct. 24.
The side stories bring together Korean science fiction author Cheon Seon-ran, who wrote the narratives, and illustrator Noma, who created the accompanying artwork using an opaque watercolor technique.
"Insomnia" is an acoustic pop track built around gentle guitar sounds and emotional vocals. Its lyrics explore the complicated feelings that emerge during sleepless nights, particularly when thoughts of someone become harder to ignore.
The single marks a more vocal-focused direction for RIIZE, moving away from the group's usual choreography-driven releases.
"Insomnia" and its music video will be released simultaneously on Oct. 26 at midnight KST.
