Actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Hong Hwa-yeon, Chang Ryul and Jung Yoo-jin are showing strong trust in one another ahead of their new drama's premiere. The team behind JTBC's "Final Table" released interviews with the four leads on Oct. 20.

"Final Table" is JTBC's new weekend drama. It follows Korean chefs from around the world who enter "The Table: K Chef 2026," a competition to find the best Korean cook.

Ahn plays Kang Han, a genius chef. Hong plays Choi Song-i, the owner of the restaurant Familia. Chang plays Cha Woo-jin, the owner and head chef of Exception, South Korea's top restaurant. Jung appears as Sun Jeong-won, the chief producer in charge of a cooking competition show.

The four characters work together or compete with one another as the competition unfolds.

Ahn said his co-stars' acting helped him understand his own character. "From the first time I met the actors, I felt that people who really fit their characters had come together," he said. He added that working with them had a good influence on him.

Hong shared some of the cast's everyday conversations on set. "We often talk about what delicious food we've had and what we're going to eat once filming wraps for the day," she said. The cast also recommended shows they had enjoyed recently, she added, allowing them to get to know one another naturally outside of filming.

Chang thanked his castmates too. "I learned a lot from Ahn Hyo-seop's serious attitude toward acting," he said. He described Hong as an actress who puts the people around her at ease. When working with Jung, he said, he tried to understand how she interprets each scene.

Jung highlighted what she admired about each of her co-stars. Watching Ahn portray Kang Han, she said, made her root for the character herself. She praised Hong for bringing energy to the set and called Chang an actor who carefully studies scripts and scenes.

"Final Table" premieres on Oct.24 at 10:40 p.m. KST on JTBC. Viewers in South Korea can stream it on Disney+, and overseas viewers can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
