A Japanese potato snack loved by K-POP idols is finally coming to South Korea. Calbee’s Jagarico Salad flavor, a favorite of IVE’s Rei and NCT WISH’s Jaehee, will be available at major supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide this month.

Haitai Confectionery announced on Oct. 20 that it would begin distributing the snack in Korea. Rei has named Jagarico her all-time favorite snack, while Jaehee once shared, "I always eat it when I go to Japan."

First launched in Japan in 1995, Jagarico is known for its crunchy, stick-shaped potato snacks. The Salad flavor combines potato with carrots and parsley and was selected for its Korean debut following a consumer survey.

Until now, Korean fans generally had to buy Jagarico during trips to Japan or order it from overseas retailers. Its local launch will make the snack much easier to find.

According to Haitai, the Korean version is made with 91% potato. The snack has also inspired a popular social media recipe that involves soaking the sticks in water, adding cheese and heating the mixture in a microwave.

For fans of Rei and Jaehee, a Japanese snack they’ve heard about through their favorite idols is finally becoming easier to enjoy at home.
