Park Jin Young Comforts Tearful Kim You-jung in '100 Days of Deception' Clip
Actor Park Jin Young stayed by Kim You-jung's side as she continue crying long after a scene had wrapped. The moment was caught in a new behind-the-scenes video from the drama "100 Days of Deception".
The official YouTube channel for tvN dramas, a South Korean cable network, posted the video on Oct. 26. Its title roughly translates to "An Acting Party With Maxed-Out Immersion That Bursts Through the Screen, Watch the Baekils Who Make You Clap." "Baekils" is a nickname for the show's cast. The clip features footage from the filming of the fifth and sixth episodes of the weekend drama.
The video shows the actors getting ready for key scenes and then shooting them. One moment stood out: a hug between Kim You-jung and Park Jin Young at the end of the sixth episode.
In the scene, Lee Ga-gyeong (played by Kim You-jung) witnesses the death of Geum Seok-jung (played by Kam Woo-sung). She breaks down sobbing in the arms of Sato Hideo (played by Park Jin Young). Sato holds her without saying a word as she falls apart.
The tears continued even after the cameras stopped rolling. Even after the crew called cut, Kim You-jung stayed in Park Jin Young's arms, struggling to regain her composure. He stayed by her side, comforting her and waiting until she calmed down.
The two had just shared a tender moment on screen. Off camera, they showed the same warmth and care for each other.
Fans who watched the video were quick to react. "My heart is fluttering," one wrote. Others added, "I love how they look out for each other" and "The way they throw themselves into their acting is so cool."
"100 Days of Deception" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. KST.
