NewJeans Fans Frustrated on Bunnies' 4th Anniversary: "When Is the Comeback?"

K-POP girl group NewJeans shared new photos of its members to celebrate the fourth anniversary of its official fandom, Bunnies. Some fans, however, voiced frustration over the lack of a comeback schedule.

On Oct. 29, NewJeans' official Instagram account posted photos of Hanni, Hyein, Minji and Haerin with the caption "Happy 4th Bunnies Day!" Bunnies Day marks the anniversary of the announcement of the group's official fandom name. NewJeans named its fans Bunnies on Oct. 29, 2022, making this year the fandom's fourth anniversary.

The photos show the four members in different settings. Hanni, with long black hair and bangs, holds an ice cream cone and looks at the camera with wide, round eyes. She wears a light green outfit with a heart-shaped necklace.

Hyein looks into the camera on a sunny beach. She wears a gray top and a backpack, with her long hair down. Her calm expression and the photo's warm colors give the shot a relaxed mood.

Minji took a selfie in front of a red wall. She kept it casual in a striped short-sleeve T-shirt with sunglasses, and her defined facial features stand out even from the side.

Haerin appears in a record store, browsing the albums. Dressed in a black sleeveless top with her long, straight hair down, she reaches toward a display rack.

Although the post was intended to celebrate the fandom's anniversary, some fans expressed disappointment rather than excitement. With no schedule announced for NewJeans' return, they questioned why the occasion was marked only with photos.

"It's been almost a year since talks with Minji started, and her return still hasn't been confirmed. There's no progress on a comeback, and all they do is post a few photos on the anniversary," one fan commented.

Another simply asked, "When are they coming back?"

The frustration comes amid uncertainty surrounding the group's future following its legal dispute with agency ADOR. In Oct. 2025, a court ruled that the members' exclusive contracts with the agency remained valid.

The following month, Haerin and Hyein announced their return to ADOR. Hanni's return was confirmed in December 2025.

Danielle, however, was notified by ADOR in December 2025 that her exclusive contract was being terminated, resulting in her departure from the group.

Minji remains in discussions with ADOR about her future activities. Unlike Haerin, Hyein and Hanni, her return has yet to be officially confirmed.

No schedule has been announced for a new NewJeans album or the resumption of group activities.
