ITZY's Chaeryeong Is Going Solo, and She's 'Lovesick'
ITZY's Chaeryeong is preparing to make her solo debut with her first EP, "Lovesick," arriving Nov. 9.
The release will make her the third ITZY member to pursue solo activities, following Yeji and Yuna.
Since debuting with ITZY in 2019, Chaeryeong has become known for her fluid dance style, bringing a lighter touch to the group's demanding choreography.
Her performances during ITZY's 2026 "TUNNEL VISION" world tour, particularly "THAT'S A NO NO," drew renewed attention to her dancing. She has also covered songs by solo artists including Gain and Sunmi at fan events.
Beyond performing, Chaeryeong has developed a following through variety shows and online content, where her unexpected remarks and understated humor have frequently become internet memes.
Her personal social media accounts have also drawn attention for her fashion choices, an element reflected in the teasers for "Lovesick."
Concept photos released Oct. 30 feature contrasting looks, from a simple white shirt to a green dress paired with patterned gloves and a floral hat.
With the upcoming release, Chaeryeong will have an opportunity to establish her musical identity outside ITZY's group activities.
"Lovesick" and its title track will be released Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. KST.
