Girls' Generation member and actress YURI brought her cool, confident humor to MBC's "I Live Alone." On the episode that aired on the 30th, she shared an update on the K-pop girl group's upcoming 20th anniversary comeback. She also showed off a clashing chemistry with Kian84.

The two sat down together at a cafe. Kian84 watched YURI spending time on her own and gave her his familiar look of sympathy.

"Are you always by yourself?" he asked.

YURI pushed back. "It's not that I'm alone. I have a lot of friends around me," she said. "Don't look at me like I'm so pitiful."

Kian84 tried to explain. "It's not that you're pitiful," he said. "I just got the sense that you want to keep some distance from the world."

YURI said she is getting ready for a comeback to mark the 20th anniversary of Girls' Generation's debut. When asked about her current agency, she said she had left SM Entertainment. She is now a free agent with no agency.

"So nobody's taking you, then?" Kian84 asked.

YURI snapped back. "What kind of thing is that to say?" she said. Then she set the record straight: "My phone is ringing off the hook."

Later, Kian84 handed her a white bag. "When I bought clothes for myself, I got a few for you too," he said.

YURI could see the pattern on the clothes through the bag. "It's a pattern that makes me not want to open it," she admitted.

Kian84 hesitated. "You can probably pull it off," he said, leaving her stunned.

Once she saw the clothes, YURI's reaction was hard to read. "We're not that close yet, so I didn't know how to react," she said, drawing laughs.

For YURI, the episode was a mix of real news and easy banter. It gave viewers a look at where she stands as Girls' Generation heads toward a major milestone, now without the agency that launched the group's career.

"I Live Alone" airs weekly at 11:10 p.m. KST.
