ITZY's Chaeryeong is taking an unexpected turn ahead of her solo debut, blending unsettling imagery with playful charm in the first music video teaser for "Lovesick."

JYP Entertainment unveiled the teaser at midnight KST on November 2, one week before the release of Chaeryeong's first mini album, "Lovesick," on November 9.

The video opens with Chaeryeong humming quietly in a darkened room before taking a more mysterious turn. She is then seen picking up a tool and pacing around the room, followed by a silhouette that appears to show her swinging it downward.

Rather than revealing what happens next, the teaser ends with Chaeryeong turning toward the camera and flashing a bright smile.

The contrast between the suspenseful atmosphere and her cheerful expression gives the video a thriller-like quality, raising questions about the storyline behind her debut title track.

The upcoming mini album will feature four songs, led by "Lovesick," alongside "Moonlit Club," "Scent" and "Favorite Reason." Chaeryeong participated in writing the lyrics for "Favorite Reason," marking a personal contribution to her first solo release.

Following fellow ITZY members Yeji and Yuna, Chaeryeong will become the group's third member to debut as a solo artist.

Known for her performances and appearances on entertainment programs, Chaeryeong will use the release to introduce her own musical identity outside the group's activities.

Her solo debut comes after a series of promotional materials that have explored different interpretations of the "Lovesick" concept, including contrasting visual styles and dating show-inspired content.

Chaeryeong's first mini album, "Lovesick," will be released on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST through major music streaming platforms.

She will also host a countdown livestream at 5 p.m. KST on the same day, one hour before the album's release.
