xikers Is Ready to Shake Things Up With "DIENAMITE"
K-POP boy group xikers is set to return on November 2 with its eighth mini album, "ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING," featuring the group's first title track directly produced by leader Minjae.
The six-track release will arrive at 6 p.m. KST, led by "DIENAMITE," a song exploring the desire to break away from established expectations and pursue a different path.
According to KQ Entertainment, the track captures a growing sense of ambition reaching a breaking point, reflecting the group's determination to challenge existing boundaries.
Minjae participated in writing, composing and arranging "DIENAMITE," marking the first time a song he directly produced has been selected as a xikers title track. He also contributed to the composition and arrangement of B-side "DUMB," while fellow members Sumin and Yechan joined him in writing the title track's lyrics.
All three members participated in writing lyrics across the album's six songs, which include "Go," "Mask off," "One," "DUMB" and "Sanctuary."
Ahead of the release, xikers unveiled two music video teasers on October 31 and November 1.
The first teaser featured a room covered in missing-person posters, where members discovered Hunter tied up. Another scene showed Hunter holding a stick of dynamite in his mouth, introducing a mysterious storyline.
The second teaser continued the group's excavation-inspired concept, showing the members uncovering a rock guitar after digging. It also offered the first glimpse of the choreography for "DIENAMITE."
The group further highlighted its individual members through a series of unit performances released ahead of the comeback.
Minjae, Sumin and Yechan showcased their rap chemistry in "JUST FOR FUN," while Junmin, Yujun and Hunter presented a choreography-focused performance in "JUST FOR FUN (Remix)."
Meanwhile, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Junghoon and Seeun performed "RUNNERS HIGH," combining band-inspired sounds with vocal harmonies.
"ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING" will be released on November 2 at 6 p.m. KST, followed by a comeback showcase at 8 p.m. on the same evening.
