EXO's Kai and Sehun to Debut as New Subunit in December

EXO's Kai and Sehun are teaming up for a new subunit, with their official debut scheduled for December.

SM Entertainment confirmed the news to K-POPIT on Nov. 2. Both born in 1994, the two are known to fans as the "94z" and have frequently drawn attention for their chemistry on and off stage.

The pair has shared the spotlight several times outside EXO's group activities. Sehun made a surprise guest appearance at Kai's solo concert last year, performing alongside him onstage. They also reunited on the web variety show "Jeongwating" in January and appeared as travel partners on the fourth season of "Earth Marble World Tour."

The upcoming unit will mark their first official music project as a duo. Details about their debut album and promotional plans have not yet been revealed.

Meanwhile, EXO marked its 14th anniversary earlier this year with the release of its eighth studio album, "REVERXE," in January. The group also completed a world tour featuring 27 shows across 14 locations.
