Actress Shin Min-a has locked in her next drama as she nears her first wedding anniversary. She will star with Lee Jin-wook and Yoo Tae-o in "Wednesday Thursday Friday" (Sumokgeum), a new MBC Friday-Saturday drama set to air in the first half of next year.

Shin married actor Kim Woo-bin in December 2025.

The 12-episode series follows two first loves who meet again after 12 years and try to start over. The story centers on a restaurant that opens only from Wednesday to Friday, inspiring the show's title. Love, forgiveness and growth are at the heart of the story.

Shin plays Cha Eun-su, a woman who sets out to find the first love she parted ways with 12 years earlier. After the breakup, Cha married another man and started a family. Yet part of her still yearns for the life she truly wants. She also has a reason for coming back that she hasn't told anyone.

Shin has played many kinds of romantic leads, in dramas such as "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," "Our Blues" and "No Gain No Love." This time, she takes on a character with more complicated emotions and motivations. She has also expanded her acting range recently with the drama "Karma" and the film "The Eyes" (Nundongja). Her latest role has already sparked curiosity about the kind of romance she will portray.

Lee Jin-wook plays Kim Dong-woo, Cha's first love. He is the chef who runs the restaurant. He works three days a week and does nothing at all for the other four.

Kim has spent years carrying the memory of a first love he failed to protect. His routine changes when Cha shows up again after 12 years.

Lee Jin-wook has played romantic roles in shows including "I Need Romance 2," "Nine: Nine Time Travels" and "Doona!" Here, he plays a man facing the first love he never got over.

Yoo Tae-o plays Lee Won-pil, Cha's husband. The character is a managing director at Hangu Construction. He has money and talent, but struggles when it comes to expressing love for others. As he tries to protect the people who matter to him in his own way, his desires can take a darker turn.

The role marks another change of pace for Yoo. He has appeared in the films "Leto" and "Past Lives," as well as the dramas "Money Game" and "Love to Hate You."

For Shin, the project brings her back to the genre she is best known for, with a heroine whose motives aren't as simple as they first appear. "Wednesday Thursday Friday" is set to air in the first half of next year.
