P1Harmony Teams Up With Dem Jointz and Terror Jr for "BLOW UP" Remixes
P1Harmony is expanding the sound of its latest comeback with a remix album featuring Grammy-winning producer Dem Jointz, pop duo Terror Jr and several other collaborators, following record-breaking first-day sales for its 10th mini album, "BLOW UP."
Released on Nov. 9, the remix project features five reinterpretations of the group's latest title track, which originally arrived on November 6.
Among the participating artists is Dem Jointz, a Grammy-winning producer known for his work on numerous K-pop releases, alongside Terror Jr, a pop duo recognized for combining experimental production with accessible melodies.
The project also includes contributions from Seoul-based DJ and production duo rom&BAAWLA, whose music draws on UK garage and UK bass influences.
Additional remixes come from longtime P1Harmony collaborator Seo Yong-bae, also known as sesamiX, as well as producers TAEY and Rapid.
The remix album offers different interpretations of "BLOW UP," a hyperpop track influenced by the experimental sound associated with PC Music. Although the original incorporates glitchy electronic production, it also marks a shift toward lighter melodies and a more accessible sound compared to some of P1Harmony's previous releases.
The remix project arrives as the group's latest mini album achieves a new commercial milestone as according to the agency, "BLOW UP" recorded more than 540,000 copies sold on its first day, setting a new personal record for P1Harmony.
The album also topped Hanteo Chart's daily physical album ranking and Circle Chart's daily retail album chart for Nov. 6, while its title track was featured on new-release playlists on Spotify and Apple Music in the United States.
The six-track mini album continues P1Harmony's superhero storyline, following the members as they return to their heroic roles and complete their long-running journey.
P1Harmony will continue promoting "BLOW UP" through music shows and additional content.
