"O.O," the debut single NMIXX released on February 22, 2022, announced the JYP Entertainment girl group with a structural conceit — mid-song genre pivots that seemed designed to provoke as much as entertain — that set the tone for everything that followed. Over the three years since, the group has built a discography that consistently resists easy categorization, positioning itself as one of the more compositionally adventurous acts in its generation of K-pop girl groups. Their fandom, known as NSWER, has tracked that evolution across a string of singles, mini albums, and full-length releases that grew steadily in commercial scale.

Debut and early releases

The group launched with the single album Ad Mare in February 2022, with "O.O" as its lead track. A second single album, *Entwurf*, and the track "Dice" followed later that year, extending the group's first cycle before they moved into longer-format work. The debut period established the stylistic signature that would define the group's early identity: dense production, shifting rhythmic structures, and an emphasis on vocal and performance technique over pop accessibility.

Music and discography

NMIXX's 2023 mini album *Expérgo* marked a consolidation of the group's approach, with the single "Love Me Like This" demonstrating a degree of melodic directness that sat alongside, rather than replacing, the group's more formally complex tendencies. The summer 2023 album *A Midsummer Nmixx's Dream* broadened the release's scope, and the standalone single "Roller Coaster" — one of the group's two designated representative works — showed a cleaner pop construction that reached a wider audience. The year also produced "Party O'Clock" and "Soñar (Breaker)," adding further range to a catalog that was accumulating quickly.

The *Fe3O4* series, spanning *Fe3O4: Break* (2024), *Fe3O4: Stick Out* (2024), and *Fe3O4: Forward* (2025), represented the most sustained thematic project of the group's career to date. Running across two mini albums and a full-length release, the series indicated both the label's willingness to invest in extended narrative framing and the group's capacity to sustain it. "Blue Valentine," released in 2025, appeared within that cycle.

In 2026, NMIXX shifted again with the single "Crescendo" — the second of their representative works — and the *Heavy Serenade* EP, which also produced the tracks "Heavy Serenade" and "IDESERVEIT."

Members

NMIXX debuted as a seven-member group. One member, Jinni, has since departed. The current active lineup consists of six members:

  • Lily (main vocalist)
  • Bae
  • Haewon
  • Jiwoo
  • Kyujin
  • Sullyoon

Standing

Signed to JYP Entertainment and active since early 2022, NMIXX occupies a position in the K-pop landscape defined largely by its formal ambitions. The *Fe3O4* trilogy and the subsequent *Heavy Serenade* EP suggest a group whose output has grown in both scale and thematic coherence as its career has progressed. "Roller Coaster" and "Crescendo" remain the works the group is most broadly associated with, each representing a different phase of a still-developing catalog.
