NMIXX Celebrates "Birthday Wish" Chart Success With New Music Video Photos
NMIXX's latest title track, "Birthday Wish," has climbed to No. 5 on Melon's Top 100 chart, marking an encouraging start for the group's sixth mini album, "Strange Muse."
Released on October 19, the song reached the position as of midnight KST on October 20. The album also topped iTunes Top Albums charts in several markets, including Singapore and Hong Kong, according to JYP Entertainment.
Following the release, the agency unveiled a collection of behind-the-scenes photographs from the "Birthday Wish" music video on October 21.
The images capture members Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin during filming, offering a closer look at the production's celebratory atmosphere.
Some photographs show the members performing together, while others feature more relaxed moments between takes, including scenes of the six sitting together on set.
The music video follows a story in which the members become one another's muses, transforming their shared moments into a celebration.
Its cinematic presentation combines dreamlike imagery, carefully arranged compositions and vibrant colors, reflecting the song's romantic message about wishing wholeheartedly for the people who have finally come into one's life.
Musically, "Birthday Wish" moves between expansive instrumental sections, quieter breaks, spoken narration and a gradually intensifying bridge.

The track follows NMIXX's previous releases "Blue Valentine" and "Heavy Serenade," continuing the group's exploration of contrasting musical textures.
"Strange Muse" features six tracks, including "Kerosene," "RudE TaLK" and three unit songs: Lily and Haewon's "Sing to the Moon," Sullyoon and Bae's "Hot 'n Unbothered," and Jiwoo and Kyujin's "WHIP."
The members also participated in the creative process for the album's B-sides and unit tracks.
Meanwhile, NMIXX is preparing to conclude its first world tour, EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER, with three encore concerts at Inspire Arena in Incheon from November 27 to 29.
