NMIXX Tops Global and Korean K-POPIT Charts as 'Birthday Wish' Hits New High
NMIXX has topped both the global and domestic K-POPIT BOARD rankings following the release of its sixth mini album, "Strange Muse," with title track "Birthday Wish" climbing to No. 5 on Melon's Top 100 shortly after its release.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, NMIXX ranked No. 1 on the Oct. 21 Global Rise chart with a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 65. The group also led the Domestic Rise chart with a Power Index (PWR_KR) score of 73, as its latest comeback gained attention in Korea and overseas.
NMIXX released "Strange Muse" on Oct. 19, returning with new music after five months. "Birthday Wish" entered Melon's Top 100 at No. 34 before jumping to No. 5 by midnight on Oct. 20, setting a new personal best for the group. The album also topped iTunes charts in markets including Singapore and Hong Kong.
The strong opening is reflected in NMIXX's Momentum Score (MOM) of 76.5, which tracks how quickly an artist is gaining attention across platforms. Its Media Attention Score (MAS) reached 90.2, as the comeback and the song's rapid chart climb drew coverage from Korean entertainment outlets.
NMIXX also recorded a Viral Conversion Rate (VCR) of 100, indicating strong conversion of YouTube attention into Spotify streaming activity. The group has been promoting "Birthday Wish" through music videos, performance content and short-form challenges, helping keep the new release visible across platforms.
D-layer activity, which measures attention beyond an artist's existing fanbase, increased by 104.6%. Combined with the song's rise on Melon, the figure suggests that NMIXX is reaching listeners outside its core fandom.
At the same time, its Fandom Health Index (FHI) stood at 80.7, reflecting continued engagement from existing fans. The six-track album also includes the group's first unit songs, with members contributing to songwriting and Kyujin participating in composition.
NMIXX will conclude its first world tour, "EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER," with three encore concerts at Inspire Arena in Incheon from Nov. 27 to 29.
With "Birthday Wish" reaching a career-high position on Melon and attention extending beyond its established fanbase, NMIXX's latest comeback has given the group a strong start on both the domestic and global charts.
