K-POP girl group aespa's latest comeback is rapidly translating into global attention, pushing the group to the top of K-POPIT BOARD's worldwide rankings.

According to the global analysis from K-POPIT BOARD, a K-POP analytics index, aespa ranked No. 1 on the Global Power Index (PWR_GL) with a score of 74.0 on June 1. The index combines music chart performance, social media activity and news coverage around the world.

The surge followed the release of aespa's second full-length album "LEMONADE" on May 29. Alongside the album launch, the group's promotional campaign generated widespread online buzz. A mysterious Instagram account tied to the comeback introduced a lemon-themed character named "LEMONI," encouraging fans to follow clues connected to the album's concept. At the same time, people dressed in oversized lemon costumes were spotted across Seoul, from Hongdae to Gangnam, drinking lemonade and performing the song's challenge dance. The campaign gained further traction after the members shared photos featuring the same lemon imagery on social media, turning the promotion into a viral talking point.

One of the strongest drivers of aespa's rise was TikTok. According to K-POPIT BOARD data, the group recorded the biggest increase on the platform among major K-POP acts, with its TikTok Chart score rising 73.8 percent. aespa was also identified as the Viral Conversion Leader, posting the highest YouTube-to-Spotify conversion rate. The result suggests that viewers who discovered the group through video content were actively moving on to music streaming platforms.

The momentum was further boosted by the spread of the "LEMONADE" challenge. Fellow K-POP artists, including ITZY's Ryujin, LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yun-jin and Hong Eun-chae and Hearts2Hearts members Ana and Ian participated in the challenge, promoting the song to audiences beyond aespa's core fanbase. The videos quickly gained traction across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, further amplifying the comeback's reach throughout the weekend.

Video consumption also played a major role. The music video for "LEMONADE" surpassed 10 million views within 24 hours of release and has since accumulated more than 20.9 million views. The video also reached No. 1 on YouTube's Worldwide Music Videos chart and topped QQ Music's overall music video chart and Korea music video chart. In the United States, it climbed to No. 8 on YouTube Trending for Music, highlighting the song's growing international reach.

The album has continued to post strong results across major markets. "LEMONADE" topped domestic album charts, including Circle Retail Album Chart and Hanteo's real-time rankings. Internationally, it reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in 19 regions and entered the Top 10 in 38 territories. In China, the release earned QQ Music's Triple Platinum certification while topping multiple digital album rankings, underscoring aespa's strong global momentum.

What stands out is aespa's ability to turn comeback buzz into broader public attention. With "LEMONADE" gaining traction across short-form platforms and streaming services, the latest K-POPIT BOARD results suggest the group's influence is expanding beyond its core fandom.
