Former NCT Member Mark is stepping out on his own. The artist has co-founded a new agency called Upper Room and will lead the company as co-CEO.

Upper Room is described as a creative company Mark built with longtime collaborators he trusts. The label is centered on music, but it is designed to connect his work across video, visuals, and performance, with the goal of widening the range of what he creates.

The name carries a clear idea behind it. Upper Room is meant to signal a space where ideas and vision are shared and new possibilities are developed. The company will support Mark's music activities as well as the projects he plans to take on next.

For Mark, the move is both a business step and a creative one. As he approaches his late 20s, taking direct control of his musical direction marks an important turning point in his career as an artist.

To mark the launch, Upper Room released an announcement film on the 3rd built around the era of 15th-century metal type printing. The concept highlights the value of work finished by a creator's own hand, even as technology keeps advancing. The company also made a point of avoiding AI-generated images and producing every visual itself, a choice meant to define Upper Room's identity from day one.

Two visual films, titled "Written" and "The Wind," were unveiled alongside the announcement. They connect to four more videos rolling out in sequence starting the afternoon of the 4th, forming a single narrative across the release.
