BOYNEXTDOOR Closes Chapter 1 With Debut Studio Album 'HOME'

K-POP boy group BOYNEXTDOOR is closing the first chapter of its career with a full studio album. Ahead of the December 8 release of its debut LP "HOME," the six-member group shared a behind-the-scenes video that walks fans through how the record came together.

The video, titled "HOME VIDEO" Ep.2: HOME, went up on the official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel on December 4. It pulls together moments from the album's making, including old monthly evaluation clips from the members' trainee days and footage of their studio work with executive producer ZICO. The members also reflect on their pre-debut years and what life has looked like since.

"Since this is our first full-length album, we wanted to tell the team's story honestly," BOYNEXTDOOR said. "There were a lot of hard moments while we were making it, but we finished 'HOME' hoping it could be a place we can always come back to." The group has framed the record as the close of its "Chapter 1" and the setup for "Chapter 2."

The video shows the members taking the lead in the creative process, expanding song concepts on their own and giving each other notes in the recording booth. They also speak openly about the pressure that comes with the job. "If I'm not working hard, I get anxious," one says. Another talks about feeling driven to reach the top. ZICO, watching from the side, says the album will end up being "the most precious one" BOYNEXTDOOR has made.

Set for release at 6 p.m. KST on December 8, "HOME" credits every member as a songwriter. The title track "VIRAL" carries the wish that their music reaches as many people as possible. The group will hold a showcase at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul at 8 p.m. KST that same night to perform the new song for the first time. Before that, BOYNEXTDOOR will appear at the 2026 Weverse Con Festival on December 6.
