LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, KATSEYE Team Up for HYBE Girl Group Single 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE'

Three HYBE girl groups are joining forces on one track. LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE will release a joint digital single titled "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" on Friday at 1 p.m. KST.

The announcement came on Monday, through the fan platform Weverse, posted by the three groups' labels, Source Music, BELIFT LAB and HYBE x Geffen Records.

A logo motion video released ahead of the single offers an early sample of the song. The clip opens with feathers drifting through the frame before the screen shakes and the feathers scatter. The lyric "I'm iconic by mistake" is featured in the preview.

The three teams will perform the song together for the first time on Mnet's "M Countdown" on Thursday.

LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE have crossed paths before through dance challenges and other social content. This single marks the first time all three share a stage as a single act, and fans are watching closely to see how the chemistry translates to a full performance.

In a statement, Source Music, BELIFT LAB and HYBE x Geffen Records said they are preparing "a high-quality performance stage as well as various content to give global fans a special treat this summer," and asked for fans' support.

The collaboration brings together three acts that sit at different points in HYBE's girl group lineup. LE SSERAFIM debuted under Source Music in 2022 and has become one of the company's flagship groups. ILLIT launched under BELIFT LAB in 2024 and quickly broke through with "Magnetic." KATSEYE, formed through HYBE x Geffen Records' global audition project, debuted in 2024 as a U.S.-based group built for international markets.

Putting all three on one record is a clear show of HYBE's cross-label strategy, using each group's strengths to build a single moment that reaches across regions and fanbases.
