K-POP boy group TWS has earned another Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. It is the group's second Platinum plaque in less than a year.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan announced on Wednesday that TWS's fifth mini-album, "NO TRAGEDY," surpassed 250,000 in shipments as of May, qualifying for Platinum status. The association certifies albums each month based on cumulative shipments, awarding Gold for 100,000 units, Platinum for 250,000, and Double Platinum for 500,000.

TWS, which consists of Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin, first reached Platinum in Japan last July with its debut single "Nice to see you again (Hajimemashite)." Counting earlier titles "play hard," "TRY WITH US," and "Last Bell," the group now has five releases on the association's certification list.

"NO TRAGEDY" sold roughly 200,000 copies on its first day of release on May 4. It debuted at No. 1 on Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking and Weekly Combined Album Ranking, as well as on Billboard Japan's Top Albums Sales chart. It also reached No. 1 on Japan's iTunes K-POP Top Albums chart and No. 2 on Apple Music's equivalent ranking.

The momentum carried into Billboard Japan's recently released first-half 2026 recap. "NO TRAGEDY" placed No. 10 on the Top Albums Sales chart, the highest position for any fifth-generation K-pop album on the list. TWS also entered the Artist 100 chart, which combines points from the publication's overall song and album charts, a sign of the group's growing presence in the Japanese market.

On Thursday, TWS will release "Dream With Us," the official cheer song for the South Korean national football team. The track carries the message that "when we believe in miracles together, miracles begin," and frames the energy of young people chasing a goal. It is set to play at events supporting the national team throughout the summer.

The group will also kick off its second tour, "2026 TWS TOUR '24/7:FOR:YOU' IN SEOUL," on June 27 and 28 at KSPO DOME in the Olympic Park in Songpa district, Seoul. The Seoul shows open an eight-city Asia run. Tickets sold out across every section, including seats with obstructed views.
