BABYMONSTER Opens Music Show Run With 'SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA' Performance
K-POP girl group BABYMONSTER has officially kicked off the promotional run for its new single "SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA" with its first music show stage. The group performed the track on Mnet's "M Countdown," which aired Thursday in Korea, following the earlier release of the song's performance video.
The members took the stage in matching black-and-white outfits. Moving to the song's heavy bass and brisk rhythm, they leaned into sharp isolation moves and a hook-driven point choreography that set the tone of the track.
The performance paired fast-paced rapping with vocal lines, letting each part of the song land clearly. The members delivered the track's confident lyrics through both choreography and facial expression, giving the stage an extra layer of presence.
BABYMONSTER handled the live vocals while moving through frequent formation changes. The group closed the stage with high notes and ad-libs in the final climax section.
The group will continue its comeback run on MBC's "Show! Music Core" on Saturday and SBS's "Inkigayo" on Sunday.
"SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA" has been on a strong run since its release Monday. The song reached No. 1 on YouTube's global daily trending music videos chart, and the music video is approaching 50 million views. The performance video pulled in about 10 million views within two days of release.
