izna Expands Beyond Korea Into the U.S., China and France

K-pop group izna is taking its latest release global, with promotions rolling out across the United States, China and France.

The six-member group, made up of Mai, Bang Ji-min, Koko, Yoo Sa-rang, Choi Jung-eun and Jeong Se-bi, recently released its third EP, "SET THE TEMPO." Through a partnership with REPUBLIC Collective, izna will release a U.S. limited edition of the EP on July 10.

In China, the group is running an offline campaign with QQ Music, the streaming platform operated by Tencent Music Entertainment (TME). Outdoor ads featuring concept photos from the new EP have gone up in large shopping malls in major cities including Guangzhou, Guilin, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Qingdao and Hangzhou.

The group also sat down with a French Hallyu outlet for a new interview. "This album carries a lot of messages we wanted to send to naya," izna said, referring to its fandom. On the title track "METRONOME," the members said the song delivers "a confident message that we set the standard." They described it as "a track that brings together a dreamy atmosphere and a powerful performance."

"SET THE TEMPO" entered the top 10 of the iTunes Top Albums chart in five regions, including Japan, Indonesia, Hungary and Portugal, shortly after release. In South Korea, every track from the EP landed on Melon's HOT100.

The title track "METRONOME" is also climbing on major platforms. The song reached No. 2 on AWA's Top 100 chart for new overseas songs and No. 2 on mora's real-time ranking for overseas singles. It also entered Melon's Global K Chart and YouTube Music's music video chart. The music video has passed 10 million views.
