ZEROBASEONE's Seok Matthew Opens Personal YouTube Series
ZEROBASEONE member Seok Matthew is opening his own corner of the internet.
The K-POP group's agency, WAKEONE, announced on June 18 that Seok Matthew has launched a personal YouTube channel called "Hey Bye Thew," with new video content rolling out in the coming weeks.
Alongside the channel launch, Seok Matthew shared a handful of teasers hinting at where the project is headed. One clip shows him sitting through a production meeting in a raincoat. A separate poster features him in an outfit modeled after a character from the animated series "Pokémon." The materials lean playful rather than polished.
The channel is built around catching Seok Matthew in everyday settings, away from the lights of a music show stage. The goal, according to the agency, is to show a more relaxed, unfiltered side of the artist and pull both Korean and international fans closer to who he is off camera. True to the channel name, the format will center on Seok Matthew personally taking on challenges across a range of fields.
The first episode of "Hey Bye Thew" premieres June 23 at 7 p.m. KST. After that, new videos will go up every Tuesday.
For ZEROBASEONE, the move fits a wider pattern in K-POP, where individual members are increasingly building their own direct-to-fan platforms in addition to group activities. A solo YouTube channel gives an idol a steadier line to global audiences between comebacks, and a space where personality, not choreography, leads.
