NMIXX's Sullyoon to Perform Seated at Singapore Concert Following Back Pain
NMIXX member Sullyoon will perform while seated during the group's Singapore concert on June 20 after being advised to avoid strenuous activities due to ongoing back pain, agency JYP Entertainment announced on Thursday.
According to the agency, Sullyoon recently underwent a thorough medical examination after experiencing worsening back pain. Medical staff recommended that she refrain from intense movements, including choreography, and focus on recovery for the time being.
Despite the recommendation, Sullyoon expressed a strong desire to keep her promise to fans, known as NSWER. As a result, she decided to participate in the Singapore stop of NMIXX's first world tour, "EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER," while remaining seated throughout the performance.
Sullyoon had previously shown signs of severe discomfort during the group's concert in Bangkok, where she struggled with back pain and was seen in tears. She later told fans through a fan communication platform that the pain began during rehearsals and worsened the following day despite receiving treatment, including laser therapy.
"Both the company and the hospital suggested I take some rest," she said. "But I really wanted to perform, so I told them I would do as much as I could and sit down if the pain became too severe."
JYP Entertainment said the artist's health and safety remain its top priority and pledged to provide full support for her treatment and recovery so she can return to fans in good health as soon as possible.
