EVAN Unveils 'Ride or Die' Performance Video as Debut Single Tops Charts
Rising soloist EVAN has released a performance video for the title track of his debut single, following a strong chart run at home and abroad.
On July 1, EVAN shared the choreography video for "Ride or Die" through his official YouTube channel. The song is the title track of his first single of the same name.
The video focuses on how the message of the song is expressed through movement. The camera moves from the outer edges of the formation toward the center, tracking EVAN's path as he syncs up with his dancers.
The choreography leans into the song's alternative rock roots. EVAN mimes plucking guitar strings and works in sharp, physical gestures that echo the track's rough, experimental edge.
"Ride or Die" is built on pop rock with hyperpop elements layered on top. EVAN pushes the growing emotion at the heart of the song through his signature cutting vocals.
The single arrived on June 22 and quickly picked up traction on domestic and international charts. It reached No. 1 on the Korean streaming service Bugs' real-time chart and climbed to No. 5 on Melon's "Hot 100," which tracks songs released within the past 30 days. It also topped Apple's iTunes "Top Songs" chart in nine countries and regions, and ranked No. 1 on Tencent Music's weekly Korean chart in China for the week of June 22 to June 28.
EVAN is now moving through a busy stretch of TV appearances and live shows. He is set to appear on KBS2's "The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend" on July 3, followed by KBS Cool FM's "Gabee's Super Radio" on July 4. Bigger stages are lined up through the rest of the year, including "2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer" on August 9, "KCON LA 2026" on August 16, and "NOL FESTIVAL" on October 18.
The stretch reflects a common playbook for new K-POP soloists, where a strong first chart week is used to lock in major summer festival slots at home and overseas before the second half of the year hits full swing.
