RESCENE to Join 'Salon Drip' Ahead of 'Pretty Girl' Remake Release
K-pop group RESCENE, made up of members Wony, Minami, Liv, May, and Zena, is set to appear on the YouTube variety show "Salon Drip." The booking lands as the group rides a wave of renewed attention built almost entirely through online content.
On July 2, representatives for the YouTube channel TEO told TenAsia that RESCENE would film an episode of the channel's web variety program "Salon Drip." The filming date and release date have not yet been set.
Member Wony had previously named "Salon Drip," hosted by comedian Jang Do-yeon, as the variety show she most wanted to appear on. The upcoming taping makes that wish official.
RESCENE first drew wider notice through their own YouTube content. A song they released two years ago, "LOVE ATTACK," climbed to the top of major Korean music platforms including Melon, giving the group a rare "reverse-run" moment on the domestic charts.
That surge carried into the offline world. Members have been named promotional ambassadors for their hometowns of Geoje, Suwon, Gyeongju, and Goyang. Brands across fashion, retail, and food and beverage have also lined up to work with the group.
Next up is new music. RESCENE will release the remake single "Pretty Girl" on July 8, with more activity planned in the second half of 2026.
The trajectory says something about how new K-pop acts break through now. For RESCENE, a viral chart moment on YouTube has turned into city partnerships, brand deals, and a spot on one of the country's most-watched variety shows. The stage keeps getting bigger, and it started online.
