BTS Returns to London After Seven Years, Sweeps K-POP Power Rankings
K-POP group BTS pulled global attention with two nights in London over the weekend, part of the group's "ARIRANG" world tour. The shows landed on the 6th and 7th at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, marking the group's first London concerts in about seven years.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, a K-POP analytics tracker, BTS surged to the top of both its global and domestic charts on the 8th. The group posted a Global Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 67, ranking first worldwide. It also topped the Korean chart with a Power Index (PWR_KR) of 73. The Power Index combines results from music charts, social media activity, and news coverage into a single score.
The spike traces directly to the London shows. The concerts drew heightened attention because they were the group's first in the city since the 2019 Wembley run. The members performed inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which holds about 60,000, using a 360-degree stage that opened sightlines across the venue.
Fan interaction on stage drove much of the online conversation. K-POPIT BOARD's Fandom Health Index (FHI), which measures activity among BTS's fandom, ARMY, reached 88 out of 100. One moment cut through the noise: member V dropped to one knee in front of a fan holding a "marry me" sign and made a gesture that looked like slipping on a ring. Video of the moment pulled roughly 610,000 views on X in a single day.
The group's Viral Conversion Leader score, which tracks how well social buzz on platforms like YouTube converts into streams on services like Spotify, hit a perfect 100.
British outlet The Guardian gave the London show a five-star review, calling it "full of pure joy and dazzling versatility" and writing that "fans and non-fans alike seemed to be putty in the boy band's hands."
