JENNIE Headlines Spain's Mad Cool Festival as Only K-Pop Main Stage
BLACKPINK member and solo artist JENNIE is deep into a European festival run, and Spain was her latest stop. She headlined the main stage at the 2026 Mad Cool Festival in Madrid on July 9 local time, the only K-pop artist billed as a main-stage headliner at the event.
Her set drew from her solo catalog, including "Handlebars," "Seoul City," "Mantra," "ExtraL," and "like JENNIE." She also performed a new song in full for the first time. At earlier festivals on the tour, she had teased only fragments of the track, which had left fans guessing.
Mad Cool, held annually in Madrid, marked its 10th anniversary this year. JENNIE shared the main headliner lineup with Charlie Puth and Zara Larsson, a placement that puts her among the festival's top-tier draws rather than in a K-pop showcase slot.
The Madrid show follows headlining sets at Denmark's Roskilde Festival and Poland's Open'er Festival. With Mad Cool now behind her, JENNIE has closed out the European leg of her festival schedule.
Next she heads to the United States for Lollapalooza Chicago, then to Japan for Summer Sonic 2026. The run underlines how far her solo career has traveled outside K-pop's usual touring circuit, moving through some of the largest general-audience festivals in the Western and Japanese markets.
