SEVENTEEN's Dino Taps Lee Moon-sae for Pre-Release Ahead of Solo EP
SEVENTEEN's Dino is stepping out under a new alter ego. The K-POP star is launching a solo project as "Picheolin," with two pre-release tracks, a debut EP, and a fan concert lined up over the coming weeks.
His agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, shared the promotion schedule for Picheolin's first EP, "吉BOARD" (Gil-BOARD), through the project's official social media on July 13.
The first pre-release track, "There Is No Painless Farewell" (narrated by Lee Moon-sae), arrives on July 15 at 6 p.m. KST. A music video teaser posted to the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel on July 14 introduces Picheolin over a city pop sound.
Veteran singer Lee Moon-sae provides the narration on the track. In the teaser, his voice plays over shots of Dino running through the streets and dancing under a streetlight, setting up the mood for the full release.
The rollout continues from there. The tracklist for "吉BOARD" drops on July 20. A music video teaser for the second pre-release track, "Michyeo Michyeo," follows on July 21, with the full video on July 22. Teasers for the title track are set for August 1 and 2.
The full EP and the title track music video arrive on August 3. According to PLEDIS Entertainment, the project reworks the street music culture of 1990s South Korea through Picheolin's lens, mixing several genres with a distinctly Korean sensibility. The character is framed as a producer who remixes the stories of the people around him into songs.
Live dates are also in place. "DINO X PICHEOLIN FAN CONCERT" runs from August 21 to 23, teasing a joint stage between Dino and his alter ego. The schedule ends with the line "and more to come," leaving room for further activity around the project.
The move gives Dino a fresh lane outside SEVENTEEN, where members have increasingly used side projects and solo work to shape their own creative identities.
