Rookie Idol Choi Rip-woo Named a New MC for 'The Show'

FLARE U member Choi Rip-woo is stepping into a new role on Korean music television. The rookie idol will join SBS Life's weekly music program "The Show" as a fixed MC.

Choi's run begins July 14. He will greet viewers with a special stage on his first broadcast.

Choi is a member of FLARE U, the group that debuted on May 13. Even before the group's official debut, he built early name recognition through solo activities across radio and variety programming.

He has also spent time on the music-show circuit as a guest host, including special MC appearances on SBS Life's "The Show" and MBC's "Show! Music Core." Those stints showcased steady hosting chops and now lead into a permanent chair.

"The Show" airs Tuesdays at 6 p.m. KST on SBS Life.
