TWICE Future in Focus: Tzuyu Exit Reports, Jeongyeon Meets New Agency

TWICE member Tzuyu is at the center of reports that she will not renew her contract with JYP Entertainment. The label has confirmed that talks with the group are underway.

On July 14, JYP Entertainment told Korean outlet TenAsia that "TWICE is currently in the contract renewal discussion period" and that the company will share further updates once matters are finalized.

Earlier the same day, a Korean media outlet reported that Tzuyu had agreed not to renew her contract with JYP Entertainment. According to the report, TWICE will still continue to promote as a full group.

Fellow member Jeongyeon has also reportedly met with BARO Entertainment, the agency home to actress Gong Seung-yeon. With TWICE's contract talks in progress, attention is turning to where each member will land next.

Tzuyu debuted with TWICE in 2015. The group built a long run of hits including "OOH-AHH하게," "CHEER UP," "TT" and "FANCY." In 2022, all nine members renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment. Tzuyu later stepped out on her own, releasing her solo debut "abouTZU" in September 2024.
