HYBE Girl Group Collab 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE' Hits Fourth Week on Billboard Hot 100
The cross-label collaboration single "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" by LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE has now spent a fourth straight week on Billboard's Hot 100. On the latest chart dated July 18, the song sits at No. 60, according to figures released by Billboard on July 14 KST.
The track first entered the Hot 100 at No. 38 last month and has held a spot on the chart every week since. That run is a notable result for a HYBE project that brings together three girl groups built through different label systems.
"ICONIC BY MISTAKE" also continues to travel well outside the U.S. The song is No. 38 on Billboard's Global 200 and No. 37 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart. Both rankings pull streaming and download data from more than 200 countries and territories.
The single is picking up placements beyond music platforms as well. MLB Network, the official broadcast channel of Major League Baseball, used the track as the backing music for its "MLBx: All-Star 3-on-3" highlight video, released on July 13. The clip drew 2.26 million views on the MLB Network Instagram account within a day of posting.
The project was built as an internal HYBE collaboration across several labels. BELIFT LAB led performance, SOURCE MUSIC handled visual creative, and HYBE-Geffen Records oversaw A&R. HYBE Music Group supported the planning and operation of the project.
For HYBE, the four-week Hot 100 run and the MLB sync point to how a coordinated release across labels can carry a K-pop title well past its debut week, both on the charts and inside American pop culture spaces that sit outside music.
