'¡VAMOS, BRAVOS!'... HYBE's Santos Bravos Brings K-POP Variety to Latin Pop
HYBE Latin America's boy group Santos Bravos has launched its first self-produced variety series, bringing one of K-pop's most recognizable fan engagement formats into the Latin pop market.
The nine-episode Spanish-language series, "¡VAMOS, BRAVOS!", premiered on July 15 through the group's official YouTube channel and Spotify Video Podcast, with new episodes scheduled to be released weekly.
The debut episode introduces members Drew, Alejandro, Gabi, Kauê, and Kenneth as they fill out personal profiles, discuss their roles within the group, and participate in games that highlight their personalities and chemistry. Activities include familiar Korean variety staples such as charades and speed quizzes, alongside casual conversations and playful interactions between the members.
The series represents one of the clearest examples yet of HYBE applying its K-pop artist development model to the Latin music industry. Self-produced variety content has long been a key part of K-pop's fan engagement strategy, allowing audiences to connect with artists beyond their music and performances. Series such as BTS' "Run BTS" and SEVENTEEN's "Going Seventeen" have become central parts of each group's identity, helping strengthen long-term relationships with fans.
Rather than simply replicating those formats, "¡VAMOS, BRAVOS!" adapts the approach for a Spanish-speaking audience while maintaining many of the production techniques associated with Korean idol content, including fast-paced editing, games, and member-driven storytelling.
Fans responded positively following the premiere, with many welcoming the group's first original variety content. Some also drew comparisons to HYBE's Korean-produced series, noting similarities in both format and tone.
The group debuted under HYBE Latin America as part of the company's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy. Santos Bravos has continued expanding its presence in the Latin market through music, performances, and digital content as HYBE further adapts elements of the K-pop system for new regional audiences.
