BOYNEXTDOOR Draws 31,800 Fans as First World Tour Begins in Seoul
K-POP boy group BOYNEXTDOOR has wrapped the Seoul leg of its first world tour. Over three nights, the group brought in about 31,800 fans and streamed the show live to 57 countries and regions.
BOYNEXTDOOR, made up of Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan and Woonhak, held "BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.2' IN SEOUL" at the KSPO DOME in Songpa district, Seoul, from the 17th to the 19th. Online live streaming carried the concert simultaneously across 57 countries and regions.
The group opened with "06070" and moved through "VIRAL," "So Let's Go See The Stars" and "I Feel Good." The set list also included "Dear. My Darling," "Earth, Wind & Fire" and "ADIOS!" Three songs, "Jangnancho," "Upside Down" and "Bathroom," were performed live for the first time. The concert ran for about three hours, with 23 songs in the main show and eight more during the encore.
Stage design leaned on a four-story LED tower. "Live In Paris" used a backdrop that evoked an airport, while "Hollywood Action" recreated the feel of a movie set. A mashup of "Knock," "One and Only" and "JAM!" featured 30 backup dancers.
"The biggest reason we stand on stage is ONEDOOR," the members said during the show, using the name of their fandom. "Thanks to the love and support you always send us, we can perform with a smile."
They added, "Even before debut, our goal was to be the team whose next show you're curious about. We'll keep doing our best to make the most special day inside your lives."
After Seoul, BOYNEXTDOOR moves on to Busan's Sajik Indoor Gymnasium from the 31st through August 2. The tour then travels to six cities in Japan, including Kanagawa, Osaka, Miyagi and Nagano, followed by 10 cities across North America, including Chicago, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, Toronto and Mexico City, and six cities in Asia, including Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei and Hong Kong. In total, the group will play 35 shows in 24 cities.
