ATEEZ's Label Cracks Down on Online Abuse as 'BAD' Climbs Charts
K-POP boy group ATEEZ and its agency are taking a harder line against online abuse. KQ Entertainment said on July 21 that it will keep pursuing legal action against malicious posts targeting the group.
In its statement, the label said it has been running steady monitoring for false claims, defamation, insults, sexual harassment, invasion of privacy, and other rights violations aimed at its artists. It said it is moving forward with legal procedures based on the evidence it has collected.
KQ Entertainment added that cases of malicious posts, personal attacks, and reckless spreading of false information have continued to cross the line in recent weeks. The agency said it is gathering evidence through its own monitoring and through tips from fans.
The company also stressed that deleting a post, setting an account to private, or leaving a platform will not stop the process. Any material already collected remains part of the review, and confirmed violations will move forward through the courts without leniency. The agency said it will continue monitoring and legal responses to protect its artists' rights.
The move comes as ATEEZ rides a fresh wave of momentum with "BAD." The song's hook choreography has taken off online, and the buzz around the dance is pulling listeners back to the track itself. "BAD" has been climbing the music charts as a result.
