ATEEZ Makes Billboard Global 200 Before Comeback Even Begins
K-pop boy group ATEEZ has reached a new Billboard milestone with a song released ahead of its upcoming album.
The group's pre-release track "Drip," released on Oct. 23, entered the Billboard Global 200 at No. 190 on the chart dated Nov. 7. It marks the first time an ATEEZ song has entered the chart in its first week of release.
The Billboard Global 200 ranks songs based on streaming and digital track sales from more than 200 countries and territories, including the United States. ATEEZ has previously topped the Billboard 200, the main U.S. albums chart, three times. The latest result adds another milestone on Billboard's global songs chart.
"Drip" is a pre-release track from the group's 15th mini album, "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.6." Built around a heavy trap beat, the song features choreography that combines hip-focused moves with synchronized group dancing.
ATEEZ first performed the song on KBS2's "Music Bank" on Oct. 30. The group has since appeared on other South Korean music shows, including MBC's "Show! Music Core" and SBS's "Inkigayo."
ATEEZ has also revealed more of the album's concept. From Nov. 2 to 4, the group shared its fourth set of concept photos through its official social media accounts.
The images show parts of a ship and shipwreck debris scattered across ordinary settings. The unexpected placement of these objects creates a surreal contrast between familiar surroundings and elements that seem out of place.
The album's title track is "UP." Producers who previously worked on several of ATEEZ's songs, including "BAD," have also contributed to the new release.
"GOLDEN HOUR : Part.6" will be released on Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. KST. ATEEZ will then kick off its "ZERO TO ALL" world tour in Incheon in January 2027, with stops planned across Japan, Europe, North America and South America.
