ATEEZ Extends Billboard 200 Run Ahead of Japan Single Release
K-POP boy group ATEEZ is still charting on both sides of the Pacific. The group's 14th EP, "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5," landed at No. 54 on the Billboard 200 dated July 25, according to the chart published July 21 in the United States.
The EP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its first week. It then held at No. 19 on the July 18 chart before slipping to No. 54 this week, marking a third straight week on the tally.
At home, the numbers are climbing in the other direction. Title track "BAD" reached No. 16 on Melon's real-time chart, No. 24 on the daily chart, and No. 33 on the weekly chart. Each figure is a new career high for the group on South Korea's largest streaming service, a sign that this run is landing in the domestic market as well as overseas.
Next comes Japan. ATEEZ will release its fifth Japanese single, "BAD," on July 29. The title track is a Japanese-language version of the Korean original, built to keep the energy of the first release while giving Japanese fans their own take.
The single also includes two new songs, "Seeker" and "HIGHER." "Seeker" leans into the tension of being pulled between conflicting emotions. "HIGHER" turns toward recovery, with a message about pushing past hurt and confusion.
After the Japanese release, ATEEZ will meet fans in person. The group will hold its "ATINY'S VOYAGE : TINY MYSTERY" fan meetings at K-Arena Yokohama from August 4 to 6.
The stretch shows how carefully mid-tier K-POP groups now sequence their calendars. A Billboard 200 run, a domestic career peak, a Japanese single, and an arena fan meeting are landing inside a single month. For ATEEZ, the momentum from "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5" is being spent, not banked.
