CORTIS Reaches Triple Million-Seller Milestone Less Than a Year After Debut
Rookie boy group CORTIS has earned its first triple million-selling album, with its second mini album "GREENGREEN" surpassing 3 million cumulative sales just 11 weeks after its release.
According to the latest weekly album chart released by Circle Chart on July 23, "GREENGREEN" has sold approximately 3.099 million copies since its release. It is only the second album released in South Korea this year to surpass the 3 million mark on the chart.
The milestone continues CORTIS' commercial growth less than a year after its debut. Combined with its first mini album "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES," the group has now surpassed 5.25 million cumulative album sales across its first two releases.
"GREENGREEN" , which was released on May 4, sold approximately 1.2 million copies on its first day and went on to record 2,313,291 first-week sales, which was more than five times the first-week sales of their debut mini album.
Moreover, the album has also maintained a strong momentum internationally as it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking the group's highest placement to date. It has also now spent 10 consecutive weeks on the chart.
CORTIS will continue promoting the album internationally this summer, performing at Lollapalooza Chicago on July 31 and August 1 before launching its "PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN" North American tour, which will visit six cities from August 4–16.
