ASTRO's MJ Announces First Physical Solo Release After Decade in K-Pop
ASTRO's MJ is releasing his first solo single album, 10 years after his debut. It will be his first physical record as a solo artist.
According to his agency Fantagio, MJ will release the single album on August 19 at 6 p.m. KST through major music platforms.
On July 27, his official social media accounts posted a schedule image styled like a mobile messenger screen. Framed as "MJ Talk," the graphic maps out the full rollout: a trailer preview, a typography poster, character posters, an album preview, a concept trailer, the tracklist, two versions of concept photos, and a music video teaser.
MJ first stepped out as a soloist in 2021 with the digital single "Happy Virus." Last year he shared the Christmas single "12:25 (CLOCK)." He also teamed up with fellow ASTRO member JinJin to form the unit ZOONIZINI, which put out its first mini album "DICE." This upcoming release is the first time MJ is officially putting out a physical album on his own.
MJ will also hold his first solo fan meeting, "The Hangout," on August 1 at Seongsu Art Hall in Seoul. He will meet fans across two shows, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. KST. The title of the single album, its tracklist, and other details will be revealed later.
