BTS's Jung Kook Praises 'Hope' After 4DX Viewing
BTS member Jung Kook has publicly endorsed director Na Hong-jin's new film "Hope," giving the buzzy release a boost from one of the world's biggest pop stars.
On July 27, Jung Kook posted a short message on his social media that read, "Hope is fun."
He followed up on a live broadcast with a longer review. "'Hope' was really fun. Reactions seem to be pretty split. I saw it in 4DX and I had a great time," he said.
"There are so many chaotic and fun parts. I was clenching my fists during the chase scenes," he added. "The energy and the pacing were insane. I really enjoyed it."
Director Na Hong-jin reshared Jung Kook's post on his own social media to thank him.
TV personality Yoo Byung-jae also posted "Hope is fun" on his social media, though his message reportedly did not reach the director, which amused fans online.
"Hope" is Na Hong-jin's latest film. It follows Beom-seok, played by Hwang Jung-min, the head of a small port office in Hopo, a fishing village inside the Demilitarized Zone. When local young men tell him a tiger has appeared in the area, the entire village goes on alert and Beom-seok is forced to confront a reality that is hard to believe.
