Red Velvet to Unveil New Single 'Surfin' Boy' at Seoul Fan-Con
K-POP group Red Velvet will perform its new single for the first time at an upcoming fan-con in Seoul. The stage marks the group's first live look at the title track of its forthcoming summer EP.
Red Velvet will hold "2026 Red Velvet FAN-CON <A Day in Red & Velvet>" over three days, from July 31 to August 2, at Hwajeong Gymnasium at Korea University in Seoul.
The fan-con will feature the first live performance of "Surfin' Boy," the title track of the summer EP "Velvet Summer," which drops August 3.
"Surfin' Boy" is a dance track that pairs crisp, breezy production with dreamy vocal harmonies. Member Joy wrote the lyrics on her own. The song looks back on a summer spent with someone special and the new memories still ahead.
The choreography leans into that summer mood, with backup dancers building out the atmosphere on stage. During the "surfin' boy" hook, the group works in the Hawaiian "shaka" hand sign as a signature move, along with wave-like motions across the routine.
On the album's release day, August 3, Red Velvet will hold a countdown live on its official YouTube and TikTok channels at 5 p.m. KST to connect with fans.
